About

Jim Kaczkowski is the senior director of digital marketing and engagement in Strategic Marketing and Communications, supporting a team of internal communication leads and outside agency partners to help define a more compelling digital brand experience, enhancing audience engagement and connections with our diverse university community. 

Jim joins UIC after working for global Chicago advertising agencies and leading digital marketing efforts in higher education at institutions such as Northwestern University and the University of California, Berkeley. Jim received his bachelor's degree in economics at the University of Chicago and holds a data science professional certification from IBM.

Fun facts: Jim has spent enough time on airplanes to have circled the Earth 61 times, and his sons live in three different time zones.
