Getting started with Microsoft Copilot (UIC Employees)
- Search for Copilot from the Microsoft app’s on your computer.
- Select the Copilot app.
- Select the “Work” Copilot experience.
- You may be asked to authenticate via SSO.
- You will then arrive at the Copilot “Ask me anything” prompt.
Getting started with the schema markup plugin
The WordPress plugin Schema and Structured Data for WP and AMP has been installed on Red sites and today.uic.edu.
To insert schema markup code into any post, event or story page:
- Begin by asking Copilot, “Can you generate schema markup code, emphasizing voice search, for this page: [and enter your page URL].
- Review the code for accuracy of dates, times and voice answers.
- When satisfied, copy the generated schema code block.
- Return to the WordPress editing page for your post, event or story and click on “Custom schema” near the bottom of the page.
- Paste your schema markup code into the JSON text box and update your web page.
- Repeat for any other posts, events or story pages.
