The University Communications team is the central information source and public voice for campus, managing media relations, internal and executive communications and crisis and issues management. Working with media in all its forms, the team broadens public awareness and understanding of UIC, its mission and the achievements of its faculty and students.

Storytelling and Content Strategy Heading link

The Storytelling and Content Strategy team inspires the UIC community and its stakeholders with stories about the impact of UIC students, faculty, staff and alumni. Working in three priority areas — academics, research and advancement — the team finds, cultivates and shares stories showcasing the UIC mission in action.

Digital Marketing and Engagement Heading link

Guided by data and a human-centered design approach, the Digital Marketing and Engagement team ensures that the UIC digital experience is seamless, informative and accessible across web platforms and marketing technology tools, providing the backbone for all university communications.

Marketing and Media Engagement Heading link

The Marketing and Media Engagement team develops campaign content and paid media strategies, manages campus commercial filming projects, and oversees trademark and branded merchandise through UIC’s licensing program to protect and promote the university’s registered trademarks and grow revenue.

Creative Communications Heading link

The Creative Communications team collaborates, elevates and enhances the UIC brand visually, bringing the brand story to life through photography, videography, print and digital signage, university publications, web design and social media platforms.

Brand Engagement Heading link

The Brand Engagement team enhances, elevates, stewards, amplifies and protects the university’s reputation, visibility and reach locally and globally. The team collaborates with UIC leadership and UI Health to align, evolve and maintain the UIC brand, position, voice, pillars, visual identity, logos, naming architecture and more.

Analytics and Alignment Heading link

The Analytics and Alignment team is responsible for the administrative, operations, financial, project management and technical support for Strategic Marketing and Communications. The team is the liaison with other university units supporting business operations.
